InterAtlas Logistics Welcomes ISO Tank Industry Veteran Ronald E. Emma

Industry veteran brings more than three decades of ISO Tank experience, global market knowledge and established industry relationships to InterAtlas Logistics Inc.

Newark, NJ — September 1st, 2026 — InterAtlas Logistics is pleased to announce that Ronald E. Emma, a logistics professional with more than three decades of experience in the ISO tank industry, has joined the company to help strengthen its ISO tank and logistics capabilities and support continued growth in the North American and international markets.

Ron has spent his career in the tank container sector, with experience spanning non-vessel-operating common carriers (NVOCCs), tank-container leasing, and international ISO tank operations. His career has included roles with established industry organizations, including Suttons and Stolt Tank Containers, giving him extensive exposure to customers, suppliers, and logistics partners worldwide.

Ron entered the ISO tank industry shortly after college through an entry-level sales opportunity. What began unexpectedly developed into a career spanning more than 30 years and an industry that has transformed considerably during that time.

He has witnessed the rapid expansion of chemical and logistics markets in China, India, and South America; the emergence of regional operators; industry consolidation; and the growing influence of chemical distributors and traders. Through those changes, Ron says one principle has remained constant: logistics success depends on expertise, responsiveness, and trust.

“Relationships have always been one of the most rewarding parts of this business,” said Ron. “The market has changed significantly over the years, and relationships alone don’t guarantee business, but having that trust and being able to connect with the right people still matters. I’m looking forward to bringing those relationships and my experience to InterAtlas Logistics and helping the team build something even stronger.”

Expanding InterAtlas Logistics’ ISO tank Capabilities
In his new role, Ron will initially focus on reconnecting with his industry network, increasing InterAtlas Logistics’ visibility within the ISO tank market, and identifying opportunities that align with the company’s existing capabilities. Eager to get started and represent InterAtlas Logistics, Ron will be attending the International Tank Container Organization (ITCO) and the International Tank Container Association (ITCA) trade shows in October and November of this year.

“I’m excited about joining InterAtlas Logistics and getting back into the market,” Ron said. “There are opportunities out there, and I’m looking forward to working with the team, reconnecting with people throughout the industry and seeing where we can create value for our customers.”

He will also bring an experienced perspective to InterAtlas Logistics’ import operations, vendor relationships, and service models as the company evaluates opportunities to expand its offerings.

“We knew we wanted a strategic player in the market who was well known and shared the same vision as the board and me,” said Jeffrey Delli Paoli, President of InterAtlas Logistics. “Ronald brings extensive expertise in the ISO tank and chemical markets, along with a clear understanding of where we can be competitive as we continue transforming our organization. He knows this industry, he understands where the market is going, and we believe he is the right person to help us grow.”

Ron said he is moving from the shipper and vendor side of the industry to a logistics service provider while remaining firmly within the ISO tank sector.

One opportunity is developing more comprehensive depot capabilities, including tank cleaning, loaded and empty storage, lifting, repairs, and pressure testing. Ron will also explore ways to connect InterAtlas Logistics’ ISO tank business with its warehousing, flexitank, transloading, and related services, allowing the company to offer customers a more integrated solution across their supply chains while improving operational efficiency.

His focus will include import-oriented opportunities in the New York and broader North American markets, including potential relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, tank operators, chemical companies, and other logistics partners. As Ron noted, “The market and timing are ripe in the New York–New Jersey area.”

“Our goal is to embed ourselves with our customers, solve problems others cannot, and redefine what customers can expect from InterAtlas Logistics,” said Jeffrey. “With Ronald in place, we have the experience and flexibility to create solutions for our clients without hesitation.”

Combining Experience with a Changing Industry
Ron joins InterAtlas Logistics at a time when technology is increasingly changing the way logistics companies operate.

While artificial intelligence and automation have significant potential to streamline administrative tasks and documentation, Ron believes specialized human expertise will remain essential in areas such as safety, chemical handling, equipment maintenance, and customer service.

“Compliance and safety are the foundation — customers expect that,” Ron said. “Where companies differentiate themselves is through service, reliability, expertise, and the ability to solve problems for customers.”
That combination of technology, operational knowledge, and personal service will be increasingly important as the ISO tank industry continues to consolidate.

Advice for Newcomers
With more than 30 years of experience in the global ISO tank industry, Ron has had the opportunity to mentor emerging sales professionals. His advice reflects the relationshipdriven approach that has shaped his own career.

“Focus on one account. Get close to one person, one company. Build that relationship,” Ron said. “You can’t be everything for ten people. Pick one and build upon that.”

For Ron, developing deep industry knowledge and earning a customer’s trust creates a foundation for long-term relationships, referrals, and future opportunities. His ability to build and sustain those relationships is evident in the fact that his phone is constantly ringing, with industry contacts eager to know where his next stop will be.
