Royal Den Hartogh Logistics Logistics, leading logistics operator in the chemical industry, has chosen Metrocargo Italia to transport its tank containers between Northern Italy (Mortara, Pavia) and Southern France (Miramas, Marseille) by rail.
The service started on 23 March 2023 and benefits of the railway traction of Railway Undertaking FuoriMuro Impresa Ferroviaria (28,6% owned by Metrocargo Italia).
Frans Tutuhatunewa, Procurement Director at Den Hartogh, stated: “At Den Hartogh, we continuously strive to improve our network and service offering in the most sustainable way possible to our customers. With this addition, we count on Metrocargo Italia to offer a reliable service addition to our network”.
Melania Molini, General Manager at Metrocargo Italia, added: “I am very happy that we have managed to welcome such an important customer on board of our trains. For now, we are at the beginning of this collaboration. We have transported empty tank containers until now and we expect to transport full tank containers soon”. May 5, 2023
