Clear commitment to social responsibility: multimodal bulklogistics provider strengthens the national network for civilemergency preparedness
The HOYER Group has joined the German Federal Transport Organization (TOB). On February 10, 2026, the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM) presented the certificate of participation to Björn Schniederkötter, Chief Executive Officer of the HOYER Group. With this step, the nationwide network for civil emergency preparedness gains a globally active specialist for the transport of liquid goods.
In its mandate from the Federal Ministry of Transport, BALM coordinates cross-modal tasks within the framework of civil emergency preparedness to ensure the supply of the population, industry, and the armed forces. In emergency situations, the authority relies on the Federal Transport Organization (TOB) – a nationwide network of more than 1,100 transport and logistics companies that have committed to providing their support.
As Christian Hoffmann, President of BALM, emphasized during the handover, “By adding the HOYER Group, we gain a highly competent logistics partner for transporting liquid goods for the food, gas, mineral oil, and chemical industries with a multimodal orientation. The support provided by the HOYER Group represents a key contribution to proactive crisis preparedness and to strengthening supply security in Germany.”
“Safety, quality, and reliability are central components of our actions,” said Björn Schniederkötter, Chief Executive Officer of the HOYER Group. “As part of TOB, we contribute our expertise, reach, and intermodal capabilities to ensure the supply of society and industry even in exceptional situations. Being an independent family-owned company, we also bear a particular social responsibility: in times of crisis, we play our part in reliably supporting supply security for the population and the economy. As a partner to the federal government, we stand ready to deploy our multimodal expertise and capacities quickly and in a coordinated manner – ensuring that sensitive liquid goods reach their destinations safely, even in crisis situations.”
The HOYER Group has at its disposal extensive transport and logistics capacities, including trucks, tank trailers, tank containers, flexitanks, and IBC totes, as well as a global network of depots, cleaning stations, and workshops. These structures enable flexible and coordinated support when needed, helping to safeguard nationwide emergency logistics.
